Response To "Trapped:"

The first book I read was called 'Trapped' by Michael Harthrop. It was about a group of students waiting to get pick up from school when suddenly it started to snow. As the students waited for hours, they noticed that noones' parents came to get them. Because it was snowing so hard the power and heat went out in the school, so the kids were left in the school while it got colder and colder. Then the snow pilled up so high that the entire school building was covered in it. All the sudents had to stay warm was extra clothes they had in their lockers. They also traded with each other for warmer clothes. the only food they had was what they brought for lunch and in the book the students broke in to the cafeteria to get food because they were starving to death. Also it was very dark inside the school so all they had were flashlights. later on in the story one of the students tried to go outside by himself to find someone that could help them, but the weather was so harsh that his sled got stuck in the snow and he got buried in it because he fliped over when his slep got caught. Then another classmate tried to go find him, but he later found out that his friend had died because his body temperature droped from being in the snow for a long time. he got back safely to the other students and finally the snow stopped falling. Then they were rescued by a helicopter. I would recomend this book to someone who likes books about how to survive.

reading for pleasure contract

I, Tekirah Britton will read a minimum of four books and make a conscientious effort to meet my individual goals inside and outside the class. I plan to blog weekly about my experience of  "reading for pleasure". The four books I plan to read are:

1.Trapped, By Michael Northrop
2: The Color Purple, By Alice Walker
